Jackfish Alley offers a smooth and enjoyable drift dive with beautifully varied topography. The adventure typically begins with a small cave swim-through carved into the reef wall, setting the tone for an exciting underwater journey. As you exit the cave, the wall gradually opens into a wide plateau separated from the main reef by a long, sandy corridor — the feature that gives Jackfish Alley its name.
With good air consumption, divers can venture farther onto the satellite reef or continue along the sandy alley, where it’s not uncommon to encounter resting white tip reef sharks. The combination of gentle currents, dramatic formations, and the chance for big-fish sightings makes Jackfish Alley a favorite for divers of all levels
0-30 M
Intermediate
From the very first moments, Jackfish Alley delivers a diverse and visually stunning underwater journey filled with light, structure, and marine life.
• Dog-leg swim-through at 5 meters
Your dive begins inside a beautifully lit swim-through, where rays of sunlight filter through natural cracks in the ceiling, creating dramatic beams that dance across the cave walls — a magical start to the dive.
• Sandy bay at 9 meters
Exiting the cave, you glide into a wide, calm sandy basin. It’s a favorite hangout for blue-spotted rays, which often drift gracefully across the seafloor.
• Second swim-through at 15 meters
This longer tunnel ascends gently back to 5 meters, and can be explored in both directions. Diving it in reverse adds a more dynamic twist and shifts the lighting for a completely different atmosphere.
• Pinnacle at 12–14 meters
A vibrant standalone formation brimming with marine life. Expect to find swirling glassfish, stealthy scorpionfish, and majestic lionfish — a superb spot for underwater photography.
• The Alley
The signature feature of the site: a peaceful sandy channel bordered by colorful coral gardens. Schools of fusiliers sweep overhead, while hard and soft corals line the edges. Keep an eye on the open blue for passing jackfish, the site’s namesake.
Throughout the dive, remain alert for tuna gliding in from the deep and, if luck is on your side, the graceful white-tip reef sharks patrolling the perimeter of the reef.
