TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING AND PAYMENTS

Please take a good look at these booking and payment conditions because with your booking you are accepting these booking conditions. They apply to all diving packages and courses.

BOOKING POLICY

Required Information:
To confirm your booking with blue horizon red sea, you must supply the required information for each guest as follows: full name (as per passport), nationality, passport number, diving certification level, number of logged dives, and date of last dive. A WhatsApp number is also required for communication while in the resort.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the necessary prerequisites to participate in the scuba diving activities you have booked, in accordance with your certification level and logged dives. All divers included in your booking must hold an internationally recognized scuba diving certification or be enrolled in a course to obtain one. Certifications must be presented either upon check-in at the dive centre or submitted digitally before arrival.

Once your booking is complete, you will receive confirmation from blue horizon red sea acknowledging the services you have reserved.

Your Health:
It is the diver’s responsibility to be in good health for scuba diving. All divers and students will be required to complete a medical disclaimer form upon check-in at the dive centre (this form can also be downloaded from our website).

  • If you answer YES to any question, please refer to the reverse side of the medical questionnaire.

  • If a YES is still indicated, a medical certificate from a doctor will be required before participating in any in-water activities. This certificate must be issued within the past 12 months.

  • If you do not present a valid certificate, you will be required to visit a local doctor at your own expense to confirm that your health conditions are suitable for scuba diving.

Covid-19: If you have experienced symptoms affecting your lungs, breathing, heart, and/or blood in the last 30 days that may impair your physical or mental performance, you will need a medical certificate from a healthcare professional stating that you are “fit to dive.” This certificate must be brought with you.

Additional Charges:
Each destination may have different local fees (e.g., National Park and Chamber fees), which are payable locally in Euros, GBP, USD, or Egyptian Pounds. Services arranged in the resort — including but not limited to equipment rental, special tank requests, shop purchases, course materials, and certification fees — will include applicable service charges and local taxes. Please refer to the price lists on our website for detailed information.

Payment Terms:
For bookings where payment has not been made prior to arrival, blue horizon red sea cannot guarantee availability for courses or boat spaces. In such cases, bookings will be arranged and paid for locally at full resort rates plus any applicable taxes.

Surcharges:
blue horizon red sea reserves the right to apply an appropriate surcharge to its prices if economic changes (e.g., exchange rates, fuel prices) significantly affect its pricing structure. A minimum of 14 days’ notice will be given before any surcharge takes effect.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Amendments or Cancellations:
If you need to amend or cancel any of your pre-booked activities after payment has been completed, we will do our best to assist. All amendments or cancellations of confirmed bookings must be emailed at the earliest opportunity to amada@bluehorizonredsea.com. You will receive a response within 24 hours—if not, please resend your email.

  • Cancellations for any special tanks or equipment sourced by blue horizon red sea from third parties (e.g., technical diving equipment) must be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to your arrival.

  • Failure to provide timely notice will result in a charge of 50% of the total rental cost.

  • Trimix tanks are subject to 100% cancellation fees.

Cancellation Fees – “No Show”:
In the event of a complete cancellation without a valid, unforeseen* reason, the following fees apply:

  • 14 – 5 days prior to check-in: 10% of the total booking amount

  • 4 – 2 days prior to check-in: 30% of the total booking amount

  • Less than 2 days prior to check-in: 50% of the total booking amount

  • No show: 100% of the booking amount

If a guest listed on the booking is unable to attend due to unforeseen* circumstances, blue horizon red sea will allow a name change, provided no other changes to the services occur. If adjustments to the original booking result in a higher cost, the difference must be paid. No refund will be issued if the new booking costs less. Please provide updated client information at least 2 days before the expected check-in.

In-Resort Cancellations:
Any guest who signs up for diving but does not attend or fails to cancel by 4:00 PM the evening prior may incur a €20 EUR per person cancellation fee.

If there are changes to your arrival date, please inform the dive centre at least 24 hours prior to check-in.

Refund Policy:

  • No refunds will be provided for PADI or SSI digital course products once they are issued and redeemed.

  • No refunds will be given if you choose to interrupt your diving holiday without a valid, serious, or proven reason that prevents you from using the services you have pre-booked.

  • Any service booked with blue horizon red sea that is cancelled in resort or due to bad weather cannot be refunded or exchanged for another service or product.

  • In such cases (illness, injury, or weather), we can issue an insurance letter should you wish to file a claim.

Bad Weather Cancellations:
If blue horizon red sea must cancel daily diving activities due to bad weather and in compliance with coast guard instructions, we will attempt to arrange alternative dives where operationally possible.

  • If this is not feasible, as a goodwill gesture, a credit voucher will be offered for future use with blue horizon red sea.

  • This voucher is valid for use at both our Sharm El Sheikh branches and will be valid for 2 years.

  • Vouchers are non-transferable and may not be passed on to third parties.

The guides and captain of the boat have the final decision regarding which dive sites will be visited.

Cancellation due to travel restrictions

Travel Restrictions:
If your government’s foreign office issues a travel warning advising against travel to a specific destination, blue horizon red sea will hold any monies paid as credit toward a future booking. A credit note valid for 2 years will be issued.

  • No charges will be applied for making this change.

  • If the re-booked trip includes the same service level but costs more at the time of rebooking, the price difference will not be charged.

Covid-19:
Any booking affected by COVID-related travel restrictions can be rescheduled without penalty up to the service start date.
Guests are responsible for checking entry requirements with the destination country’s embassy or consulate in their home country, particularly regarding visa applications.
