Tour Details

Embark on an unforgettable journey to one of the Red Sea’s most atmospheric WWII wrecks. The Rosalie Moller, sister tragedy to the famous SS Thistlegorm, lies untouched in the deep blue, offering experienced divers a dramatic and immersive dive.

Depth & Conditions:
Sitting at approximately 50 meters, this site is reserved for advanced and technical divers. Strong currents and limited ambient light often add to the mystery of the dive, making proper planning and experience essential.

The Dive Experience:
As you descend, the silhouette of the wreck emerges slowly through the blue—its structure remarkably intact despite more than 80 years underwater. The hull, masts, and deck machinery are coated in coral growth and sponges, creating a textured underwater landscape rich with life.

Marine Life:
Large schools of fusiliers, snappers, and soldierfish surround the wreck, while groupers and lionfish patrol the shadows. The deeper environment attracts bigger species too, offering constant movement around the ship.

What You’ll Explore:

  • The dramatic bow and anchor chains

  • The towering masts sinking into the sand

  • The intact engine room structures (viewed from the outside)

  • Coral-encrusted railings and steelwork

  • The eerie, atmospheric pathways created by collapsed beams and dark spaces

Overall:
This tour delivers a deeply moving dive—moody, historic, and bursting with marine life. For advanced divers seeking depth, wartime history, and a wreck in pristine condition, the Rosalie Moller is an absolute highlight

What to Expect

Expect a deep, atmospheric dive that reveals the Rosalie Moller slowly and dramatically as you descend through the blue. The wreck begins as a shadow at depth, gradually sharpening into a towering, intact WWII freighter resting upright on the seabed.

Because of the 45–50m depth, this dive has a distinctly technical feel. Light levels drop, colors shift, and every movement becomes more measured. Once you reach the wreck, you’ll be met with a surprisingly well-preserved structure—masts, winches, railings, and deck features still recognizable after more than eight decades underwater.

Marine life is abundant despite the depth. Expect large schools of fusiliers and soldierfish swirling around the hull, with lionfish and groupers holding position in the darker sections. The calm, eerie stillness around the ship adds a haunting beauty to the scene.

Currents can vary but often create clear water, allowing you to take in wide views of the bow and superstructure. Most of the exploration is external, focusing on the dramatic lines of the ship, coral-encrusted steelwork, and the sheer scale of the wreck.

Overall, expect a powerful, moody, and unforgettable deep wreck dive—one that combines history, atmosphere, and marine life in a way few sites can match
